We founded our company in 1938 in order to provide quality peat fuel. Nowadays it is a family business operating peat bogs in the central and southern parts of Lithuania. We hold strong positions in production of peat and peat based growing media. As a matter of fact we supply greenhouses, garden centers, landscapers, mushroom growers and sales in Europe and other parts of the world. We market our products under “Suliflor” brand name.

Company Sulinkiai UAB is a member of Lithuanian Peat Producers Association (LPPA). LPPA is a member of EPAGMA – The European Peat and Growing Media Association. We are also member of IPS – International Peat Society.

So, the peat moss, which we harvest on „Sulinkiai“ peat bog is the base for growing media production. Company Sulinkiai UAB is harvesting peat moss inbetween May – August period. And we use the method of surface milling. As a result, we harvest the peat by special harvesters and afterwards we heap it into stock piles.

Furthermore the peat moss harvesting on „Sulinkiai“ peat bog is carried out responsibly, strictly following general licence, permissions and harvesting limits. As well as the other regulations issued by Lithuanian Ministry of Environment, Geological Survey and other state authorities. So, we prepare for Sulinkiai peat bog an after-use plan (after peat extraction is finished). And this plan corresponds the environmental standards of peat production. At the same time, we give priority for biodiversity and restoration of peat growth.
