Kinlochlaich Garden Plant Centre in Scotland

Donald Hutchison started developing Kinlochlaich Garden Plant Centre in 1975. Initially it was market garden, and it is now run by his daughter, Fiona Hutchison. Consequently, It has evolved to become one of the leading Garden Plant Centres in Scotland specialising in just plants, plants, plants!

Kinlochlaich Garden Plant Centre and Nursery lies between Fort William and Oban, on the Argyll West Coast of Scotland. The Garden Plant Centre itself is within an historic Walled Garden, built by John Campbell circa 1790. It is unusual in design in that it is octagonal.

Walled garden gateThe mild temperate climate of the Gulf Stream plus the slightly acidic soil, allows many plants to thrive. In addition, the Garden Centre has a huge selection of plants for sale, including many unusual varieties. You will be amazed! If we haven’t got it then we will try to get it for you! We have experienced staff to give you help and advice. And are often able to show you mature specimens growing in our extensive gardens. Look under the PLANTS heading above for some examples!

Furthermore, we have an extensive range of hardy plants, to suit many conditions, and are always trialling something different, interesting or unusual. We also have a good selection of wood fired frost resistant Planters.

If you are passionate about plants then we are The Garden Plant Centre to Visit – the most often heard comment is… β€œI cant believe how many plants you have!”
We also have self-catering accommodation at Laich Cottage , Kinlochlaich Garden Self Catering.

So, welcome to Kinlochlaich Garden Plant Centre.
