ELCA - European Landscape Contractors Association

The ELCA is the European Landscape Contractors Association, founded in 1963 promotes cooperation and exchange of information and experience in Europe.
We Increase the awareness of landscape industry across the EU and the rest of the world. Political communication towards decision makers: Maintaining contacts to relevant members of the European Parliament, to civil servants of the European Commission and to representatives of other associations with similar interests. Permanent further development of the network in Brussels.

The European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA) is the leading network for landscapers and gardeners across Europe. We represent 23 national associations and associate members from Canada, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, ELCA extends its influence globally, with additional representation in Japan and Turkey through its Committee of Firms.

ELCA’s mission is to advocate for the landscape and gardening sector at both European and international levels. This includes political lobbying to promote practical laws and regulations that benefit industry professionals. We also highlight the critical role of greenery and nature-based solutions in improving climate resilience, biodiversity, and public health. As part of these efforts, ELCA founded the SoGreen Alliance. This is a collaboration of eight European organizations dedicated to advancing urban greening.

Education and knowledge-sharing are key priorities for ELCA. Through its Committee of Firms, green professionals and entrepreneurs can connect, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities. We also coordinate a European exchange program. Thus offering students and workers the chance to gain hands-on experience. And to develop specialized skills in landscaping across member countries.

With a focus on professional development and innovation, ELCA continues to lead the way in shaping a greener, healthier future for all.
