Since 1941, Dramm has provided quality plant health solutions for greenhouses. Dramm Corporation is a U.S.-based, family-owned company that has, since 1941, become a global leader in greenhouse and horticultural watering and irrigation equipment. Its origin traces back to a florist named John G. Dramm, who invented the now-famous “400 Water Breaker” nozzle. This was a breakthrough device delivering a high volume of water gently through 400 tiny holes, protecting delicate plants during watering. That original invention laid the foundation for what would grow from a basement operation into a major enterprise.

Over the decades, Dramm has expanded far beyond that first nozzle. The company’s offerings now span multiple categories: professional watering tools (hand-watering nozzles, wands, sprinklers), full irrigation systems. As well as: chemical-application equipment (foggers and sprayers), environmental-control tools, natural fertilizers, and advanced water-management solutions. Notably, through its branch DRAMMwater, the company provides comprehensive water-treatment and irrigation-system design services aimed at modern greenhouses and controlled-environment agriculture.

Dramm’s growth is also reflected in its infrastructure and operations. Originally operating from modest beginnings, the company moved to a 70,000-sq-ft facility and, as of 2022, unveiled a new 98,000-sq-ft headquarters and production complex in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This was completed with a research greenhouse, a testing facility, and expanded warehouse and showroom space.

In line with its horticultural and environmental roots, Dramm even installed solar panels at its headquarters to offset energy consumption, underlining a commitment to sustainability.
Although the company continues to evolve and diversify, one principle remains at its core: delivering durable, high-quality products that serve both professional growers and home gardeners.
