We represent around 1,000 affiliated companies. In fact our association has the task to strengthen the tree nursery industry internally and externally. In fact the industry currently cultivates trees on over 17,000 hectares with an annual production value of around 1.3 billion euros. At the state level, the BdB is divided into 14 state associations. Most of them are small and medium-sized tree nursery companies. The companies unite under the industry’s motto “Green is life – tree nurseries create life”.

Almost every tree planted on the street, in the park, in the great outdoors, in the forest and in the home garden comes from a tree nursery. The tradition of German tree nurseries is now over two hundred years old. To ensure that it stays that way in the future, the BdB is taking care of the necessary political and social conditions.
